THE MORNING OF THE WEDDING DAY WITH OUR BRIDE:

One of the most important things we’ve learned in over 15 years of photographing weddings is that a well-planned timeline is the key to a relaxed, stress-free wedding day. When your schedule is thoughtfully planned, you can truly enjoy every moment without feeling rushed.

The morning begins long before the ceremony, and having enough time for hair and makeup is essential—especially if you have a larger bridal party. Building extra time into your schedule ensures everyone is ready, relaxed, and able to enjoy the experience.

The RF Films team typically arrives approximately two hours before your transportation is scheduled to leave. As soon as we arrive, we begin capturing all of the beautiful details that help tell the story of your day. This includes your wedding dress, invitation suite, rings, shoes, jewelry, bouquet, bridesmaids’ dresses, and any other meaningful items you’ve carefully selected.

For the first 20 minutes, our focus is entirely on these details before moving into fun, candid moments with your bridal party. Whether you’re wearing matching robes, pajamas, or another outfit you’ve chosen, we’ll capture genuine laughter, excitement, and those unforgettable moments with your closest friends and family. Our goal is to create a relaxed atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera.

Next, we ask the bridal party to begin getting dressed while we spend some quiet time photographing the bride. These portraits often include beautiful moments with her wedding gown, individual portraits, and heartfelt photographs with her mother or other loved ones.

Then comes one of our favorite moments of the entire day—the bride putting on her wedding dress. As she steps back into the room, the excitement becomes real. We invite Mom and the bridesmaids to help with the final touches, whether it’s buttoning the dress, zipping the gown, adjusting the veil, or fastening jewelry. These intimate moments are filled with anticipation, love, and emotion, and they often become some of the most treasured photographs from the wedding day.

Watching our brides hold back tears while surrounded by the people who mean the most to them is incredibly moving. These genuine emotions can’t be staged, and it’s our privilege to preserve them forever. Every wedding morning tells a unique story, and our team is there to capture every meaningful detail from the very beginning of your day.
